South Eastern Metropolitan Region is a diverse area, covering inner suburban areas, coastal areas, established and developing industrial areas. It consists of 11 lower house electorates and covers an area of 545 square kilometres.

These lower house electorates are:

  • Clarinda
  • Cranbourne
  • Dandenong
  • Frankston
  • Keysborough
  • Mordialloc
  • Mulgrave
  • Narre Warren North
  • Narre Warren South
  • Rowville

Included in the electorate are suburbs such as:

  • Berwick
  • Carrum
  • Carrum Downs
  • Chelsea
  • Clayton
  • Cranbourne
  • Dandenong
  • Frankston
  • Glen Waverley
  • Mordialloc
  • Narre Warren

The electorate also takes in the local government areas of Casey, Frankston, Greater Dandenong, Kingston, Knox and Monash.

At the 2014 state election there were 471,688 voters enrolled in the South Eastern Metropolitan Region.
