Albo’s shocking $1.4 billion cut to Victorian hospitals revealed

It’s been revealed that Tuesday’s Federal Budget cruelly cut $1.4 billion from Victoria’s hospitals.

At the same time, it committed just over $2 billion to the Suburban Rail Loop, which hasn’t been assessed by Infrastructure Australia, and which no one except Daniel Andrews wants.

Shadow Minister for Health, Georgie Crozier said these Federal Labor funding cuts are shocking.

“They come on top of the $2 billion Daniel Andrews has cut from our health system this year, doubling the pain,” Ms Crozier said.

“What’s even worse is at the same time Mr Albanese has gifted $2.2 billion to Mr Andrews’ dodgy Suburban Rail Loop.

“I think that most Victorians would be disgusted at a time when Victoria’s health system crisis deepens, Mr Albanese is cutting $1.4 billion from Victorian hospitals to gift to Mr Andrews for his pet rail line.

“Only the Liberals and Nationals have a plan to fix the health crisis, by shelving the $35 billion Cheltenham to Box Hill rail line and redirecting every available cent into health.”
