Daniel Andrews’ healthcare crisis continues to threaten Victorian lives as Ambulance Victoria issued its latest Code Red in response to hospital ramping and inadequate resources.
Yesterday afternoon, at least 10 ambulances were ramped outside Dandenong Hospital – as Victorians in need were left waiting in a carpark to receive the healthcare they deserve.
Last week, up to 14 ambulances transporting sick Victorians were ramped at Maroondah Hospital as the Secretary of the Victorian Ambulance Union warns future Code Red incidents are likely over the coming months.
Shadow Minister for Health, Georgie Crozier said Labor’s healthcare crisis didn’t start with COVID, but has been caused by years of mismanagement and waste.
“Before COVID, Victoria had the worst funded, lowest staffed and poorest performing emergency departments of any state in the nation.”
“Daniel Andrews has lied about triple-zero performance and continues to spin away problems instead of fixing the crisis he has created.”
“Labor’s healthcare crisis is costing Victorian lives and is holding back families and local communities across the state.”
“More Labor spin and lies won’t get triple-zero calls answered on time, cut surgery waitlists or get ambulances to people in need.”
“Only a Matthew Guy Liberals and Nationals Government will fix Victoria’s healthcare crisis.”
