Andrews’ health crisis fix all spin, no solutions

The Andrews Labor Government has again been caught out over its response to Victoria’s healthcare crisis.

The Age has revealed the government’s much trumpeted drive to recruit overseas healthcare workers to help with the crisis has faltered.

Just one hundred staff out of a promised 1,000 workers have been recruited.

Shadow Minister for Health, Georgie Crozier said yet again the Andrews Labor Government has been revealed for what it really is, all spin and no solutions.

“It’s the same as the 4,000 ICU beds Victorians were promised to deal with the pandemic, a shiny media release with no real solution.

“Daniel Andrews has been Premier or Health Minister for 11 of the last 15 years. The fact our healthcare system can’t deal with demand is his fault.

“This latest setback with make it even harder to clear the surgery waiting list, which under Labor has blown out to 100,000.

“A Matthew Guy Liberals and Nationals Government has a plan to cut the waiting list in half.

“We’ll do it with real solutions, not with spin.”
