Another day and another report of a tragic death linked to extensive ambulance delays.
Mitcham man Robert Spencer needed an ambulance, but one didn’t arrive for three hours.
This incident is just one of at least 33 tragic deaths linked to ambulance and Triple-Zero failings under the Andrews Labor Government.
After eight years under Daniel Andrews, ambulance response times continue to blowout, surgery waitlists remain at stagnant record highs and children needing vital chemotherapy treatment are turned away from hospitals.
Now, instead of fixing the crisis he has created, Daniel Andrews has cut $2 billion from healthcare just as the system needs it the most.
In contrast, the Liberals and Nationals have real solutions to fix the health crisis – funded by shelving Daniel Andrews’ $35 billion Cheltenham to Box Hill train line and reprioritising every single cent into health.
Shadow Minister for Health, Georgie Crozier, said the first priority of a Matt Guy Government would be to fix the health crisis.
“The Liberals and Nationals have real solutions to fix the health crisis, including building and upgrading more than 20 hospitals across the state and investing $125 million to fix Triple-Zero,” Ms Crozier said.
“Daniel Andrews has run Victoria’s health system for 12 of the past 16 years – this crisis is entirely on him.”
“The person who created this mess isn’t the one to fix it. Only a vote for the Liberals and Nationals will give Victorians the healthcare they deserve.”
