Today’s budget from Daniel Andrews confirms that community safety is one of the first causalities of a cash strapped Labor Government.
The Victorian 2019-20 State Budget has revealed a $63 million cut to the Andrews Labor Government’s headline Community Safety Statement, despite violent crimes continuing to rise under Daniel Andrews.
What few new initiatives Labor has introduced to prevent crime have only been funded for one year – once again, highlighting Daniel Andrews lack of commitment to community safety.
Furthermore, a cash strapped Labor has failed to fund its election commitment to build new police stations in Narre Warren and Clyde North, leaving these rapidly growing communities without the frontline Policing services they need.
Victoria is the highest taxing state in Australia and despite introducing 20 new taxes since first elected, Daniel Andrews just can’t find the money to keep Victorian’s safe.
