Crime again knocks Melbourne off the top spot

The 2019 Global Liveability Index shows that Melbourne has again failed to reclaim its title as the world’s most liveable city because of crime.


Melbourne lost its first place ranking under Labor because Daniel Andrews is soft on crime and refuses to take meaningful action.


Crimes against the person, carjackings, firearms offences and youth crime continue to rise.

Melbourne can be number one again, and we all want that, but it starts with Daniel Andrews recognising we have a law and order problem.
