In Question Time today it was revealed that the Andrews Labor Government has hidden critical health finance data as Victoria’s health funding crisis deepens.
Normally published annually by mid-July, the Policy and Funding Guidelines for Health and Human Services contain a detailed funding breakdown of services and priorities for hospital budgets, but this year’s breakdown has not yet been made public.
Since the 2018 election, Victorians have endured Labor’s funding cuts to dental and community health, funding shortfalls for hospital upgrades, zero infrastructure dollars for ten Community Hospitals, State Government funding uncertainty for flu shots for kids, cuts to women’s health and cuts to health protection.
Comments attributable to Shadow Minister for Health, Georgie Crozier:
“It is clear that Daniel Andrews and Jenny Mikakos want to keep their full suite of savage health cuts secret, but Victorian’s deserve transparency from this arrogant government.”
“Daniel Andrews health cuts will put Victorian lives at risk, the least he could do is let Victorians know how bad his health cuts are.”
