Daniel Andrews must put train passengers ahead of his union mates

Reports that the rail union has applied to the Fair Work Commission to halt Melbourne’s trains is further proof that Daniel Andrews is missing in action on industrial relations.

Train services are essential services, and commuters shouldn’t have to face the ongoing threat of disruptions.

Daniel Andrews failed to intervene to avert train strikes in 2015, and must act quickly this time to avoid a repeat.

As Premier and Leader of the Victorian Labor Party, Daniel Andrews must show leadership on this issue, and demand his rail union mates call off their planned strikes.

If the Andrews Government fails to act, it is Victorian commuters and our international reputation that will pay the price.
