A Matthew Guy Liberal Nationals Government will deliver a dedicated professional legal support service for the LGBTIQ+ community.
Every Victorian deserves the legal help they need and the LGBTIQ+ community’s repeated calls on the Andrews Labor Government for a dedicated service have fallen on deaf ears.
Based at the Pride Centre in St Kilda, a Matthew Guy Liberal Nationals Government will deliver two dedicated professionals, along with administrative support, to ensure that the LGBTIQ+ community has the legal support they deserve.
Shadow Minister for Equality James Newbury said it was imperative the support service be in operation as soon as possible.
“The LGBTIQ+ community has been calling for dedicated legal services, delivered by professionals who understand the needs of the community,” he said.
“Labor has ignored those calls. The Liberal Nationals Party will step in and deliver those much needed services to the LGBTIQ+ community”.
