Here we go again, more tram strikes under Daniel Andrews

Thousands of passengers will once again be caught short by tram strikes in the coming weeks, showing that there is no end in sight to the industrial dispute with tram drivers.

Melbourne’s trams are set to grind to a halt between 10am and 2pm on 26th September 2019 and 10th October, following a similar shutdown on 30th August.

The Andrews Labor Government has sat on its hands as this ugly dispute has rolled on, and now thousands of passengers will be impacted.

Comments attributable to Shadow Minister for Industrial Relations, Nick Wakeling:

“Daniel Andrews needs to step in and act to stop the RTBU’s planned tram strikes from proceeding.”

“Melbourne’s tram passengers deserve to be able to go about their lives without being stuck in the middle of this ugly dispute that Daniel Andrews is washing his hands of.”
