It’s a Metro Rail fail again

Daniel Andrews and Labor have failed to meet basic punctuality targets for Melbourne metropolitan rail again, in September – with more than 1 in every 10 trains missing its punctuality target.

In the last 12 months under Labor, the metropolitan rail system has met the acceptable punctuality target in only two months.

In September - 10 of the 16 metropolitan rail lines failed to meet the target punctuality rules.

Comments attributable to Shadow Minister for Public Transport (Metropolitan), David Davis:

“Daniel Andrews and Labor signed the contracts for the Metropolitan rail franchise in 2017 and performance has plummeted since.”

“Having been in government for 16 of the past 20 years, Labor has proven it can’t run a reliable metropolitan train system.”

“Daniel Andrews is simply incapable of providing the punctual and reliable public transport Victorians expect and deserve.”

“Under Labor, timetables serve as nothing more than an aspiration.”
