It’s a Metro Rail Fail Again – 6,197 trains late

Daniel Andrews and Labor have failed to meet basic punctuality targets for Melbourne metropolitan rail again, in the month of October – with 6,197 trains failing to arrive within the punctuality target in October alone.

Under Labor, the metropolitan rail system has not met the acceptable punctuality target even once to date in 2019.

In the month of October - 10 of the 16 metropolitan rail lines failed to meet the target punctuality targets.

Comments attributable to Shadow Minister for Public Transport (Metropolitan), David Davis:

“Commuters deserve punctual and reliable trains and under Daniel Andrews they are not getting this.

“Labor’s rail fail is meaning Victorian commuters are being left at the station, getting home later and spending more times on the already crowded trains.

“Labor just can’t manage public transport or get trains running on time.

“Daniel Andrews’ answer is to cynically change timetables to blow out trip times by up to five minutes.”
