It’s a Metro rail fail again in November

In November, Daniel Andrews and his Government failed to meet their metropolitan rail system punctuality targets yet again. It is now 11 consecutive months of failure to meet acceptable punctuality targets for the metropolitan rail system.

The seven lines that failed to meet the punctuality target in November were:

Five lines have a 100% punctuality fail over the last 11 months. These are the Craigieburn, Cranbourne, Frankston, Pakenham and Sunbury lines.

The Liberal Nationals released the November daily punctuality performance data yesterday. It showed in November, Labor failed to meet acceptable performance on 16 of the 20 work days in November.

The overwhelming number of passengers use the metropolitan rail system to go to and from work on work days. In November, Labor failed to meet the punctuality target on 80% of work days.

Comments attributable to Shadow Minister for Public Transport (Metropolitan), David Davis:

“Commuters deserve punctual and reliable trains but under Daniel Andrews they are simply not getting this.

“Despite billions spent in rail upgrades, punctuality and performance of our metropolitan rail system is worse under Labor.”
