Labor and their lackeys’ vote in support of bizarre heritage listing of the Eastern Freeway

All Labor MPs in the Upper House, including those representing the north and east of Melbourne along with the Green MP, Samantha Ratnam, Animal Justice MP, Andy Meddick and so-called “Independent” Catherine Cumming have today, in a truly bizarre outing, voted in support of heritage listing the Eastern Freeway.

Victorians can but wonder at the curious and peculiar priorities of the Andrews Labor Government and its soul mates on the crossbench in the Upper House.

Having already wasted $1.3 billion of hard earned taxpayer dollars to not build the East West Link, connecting the Eastern Freeway to the Tullamarine Freeway, Labor and its crossbench mates now want iconic heritage status for the awful congestion that is the result of tearing up East West Link contracts that will only worsen on completion of the North East Link.
