Labor cuts kids flu vaccine

In Question Time in Parliament today, Health Minister Jenny Mikakos refused to commit that funding will be made available to continue to provide free flu vaccines for children.

Last year’s funding runs out on June 30. The ‘Influenza vaccination program’ was spruiked by Labor Ministers as being ‘life saving’ but it appears to have fallen victim to Daniel Andrews’ inability to manage money.

This is despite this years’ flu season taking its toll on thousands of Victorians, and tragically at least 26 Victorians have already lost their lives including at least 3 children.

This vicious cut comes despite Labor’s then Health Minister, Jill Hennessy saying in a government media release last year that:

“The data says it all: Vaccinations saves lives.”

Don’t listen to what Labor says, look at what Labor does.
