Labor FAILS tram commuters on 12 out of 20 workdays in February

February daily tram performance figures confirm that Melbourne commuters can’t rely on Labor to run a punctual tram network to get to where they need to go.

Under Labor’s watch, commuters endured a 60 per cent daily work day punctuality FAIL on Melbourne’s tram network during February.

Of the 20 working days in February, punctuality FAILS occurred on 12 days.

What commuters have is an unreliable, snail trail tram service and a Transport Minister who doesn’t think it’s her job to ensure the reliability and punctuality of Melbourne’s trams.

Comments attributable to Shadow Minister for Public Transport (Metropolitan), David Davis:

“The Andrews Labor Government has failed to deliver acceptable punctuality performance on our tram system on 12 out of 20 workdays in February.

“Andrews and his Transport Minister will blame this performance on failed wage negations but this is just the latest data in a long history of cancelled, short and late services.

“Victorians deserve a tram service that runs on time, and they deserve a Transport Minister that is focused and committed to delivering a reliable and punctual tram service.”
