Labor’s Ballarat job promise shown to be a cruel hoax

Despite promising there would be 250 new jobs in the Police Assistance call centre in Ballarat, it is now being reported that of the 300 potential staff that were trained, 150 have been laid off.

Police Minister Lisa Neville, in a media release dated 1 July 2019, said of the Police Assistance Line (PAL) and Online Reporting Portal (OLR):

“The PAL/OLR has also created around 250 new jobs for the region.”

This is just the latest example of Labor promising one thing before an election, and then failing to deliver afterwards.

Victorians are fed up with Daniel Andrews and his Government’s empty promises.

Daniel Andrews and Labor love to make grand announcements but when it comes time to deliver they are missing in action. David Southwick MP Shadow Minister for Police
