Of the 22 working week days in August, Melbourne’s metropolitan train system managed to meet Daniel Andrews’ own performance targets on just 2 days.
August’s daily metropolitan train performance figures confirm once again that Melbourne commuters still can’t rely on our train network to get them to where they need to go – when they need to get there – during the working week, when it matters to them most.
Comments attributable to Shadow Minister for Public Transport (Metropolitan), David Davis:
“On Melbourne’s train network in August, Daniel Andrews failed to meet his own punctuality target 20 out a possible 22 working days.”
“Melbourne’s commuters expect, and deserve, better than Daniel Andrews running a train network that fails to meet his own daily performance target 91% of the time.”
“Rather than improving services, punctuality and reliability on the metropolitan train system, reliability has dived under Labor.”
