Perception is reality in Daniel Andrews’ lawless state of Victoria

A spate of serious crimes over the weekend once again highlights the increasing lawlessness across Victoria under Daniel Andrews.

Over the weekend, two separate violent home invasions in Geelong and Taylors Lakes occurred. Victims in both cases had to be hospitalised due to injuries sustained in the attacks.

Furthermore, on Monday morning a stolen vehicle was driven on the wrong side of the road down the Princes Freeway, resulting in a police chase and three arrests.

These serious crimes follow the release of a national survey revealing Victorians are more worried about crime than any other Australians – with 40% of Victorians nominating crime as their biggest worry, compared to only 24% across other states.

Which such serious criminal incidents a regular occurrence under Daniel Andrews, it’s no wonder Victorians have the worst perceptions of safety in the nation.

Comments attributable to Shadow Minister for Police, David Southwick:

“Victorians deserve better than having to constantly look over their shoulder and worry about crime, but under Daniel Andrews, crime and concerns about crime continue to rise.

Victorians have the worst perceptions of safety in the nation but all we are getting from Daniel Andrews is excuses and denials.”
