Public health in jeopardy and Daniel Andrews is missing in action

Patients in public hospitals shouldn’t be left wondering if doctors will be available to treat them due to industrial action.

This nightmare may become a reality because of Labor’s financial mismanagement of Victoria’s public hospitals.

With reports that hospitals are drowning in debt and unable to pay doctors, it is no surprise that doctors are considering walking off the job, or refusing to work overtime.

Labor’s health funding crisis is now becoming an industrial relations crisis, and Daniel Andrews is missing in action.

This is not safe for patients, and it puts the Victorian public’s health at risk.

It beggars belief that the Andrews Labor Government could find millions of dollars to campaign for Bill Shorten, but can’t adequately fund our public hospitals.

The Liberal Nationals call on Daniel Andrews to step in and fix his hospital crisis as a matter of urgency.

Shadow Minister for Industrial Relations and Workplace Safety
