Statement on Labor’s taxpayer-funded political advertising

The Liberal Nationals note the advice from IBAC that its complaint about the Andrews Labor Government’s unprecedented taxpayer-funded advertising against the Commonwealth Government has been referred to the Victorian Public Service Commissioner.

We welcome the acknowledgment that this serious complaint warrants further examination and look forward to receiving advice from the Commissioner.

The Liberal Nationals will also be referring the conduct of the Secretary of the Department of Transport, Paul Younis, to the Victorian Public Service Commissioner as a result of the Department of Transport’s involvement in this political advertising campaign.
