The solar roller coaster continues

The Andrews Labor Government has created more uncertainty around their Solar Homes Package.

The newly appointed CEO of Solar Victoria said to The Age today:

“anyone who has missed out will be able to claim their rebate, if they are eligible, with the agency already identifying more than 600 households in that category and believes there are more who have not yet contacted Solar Victoria.”

Energy Minister, Lily D’Ambrosio, needs to come clean about exactly who is eligible, and who will miss-out under her government’s botched solar scheme.

After the government capped the scheme without warning, causing job losses at several installers and throwing the whole industry into turmoil, this latest announcement by the government will further confuse the industry.

What solar installers need now is certainty around the Solar Homes Package, not more unclear and indecisive policy on the run from the Andrews Government.

Labor has bungled the roll out of their much-touted solar program, but Victorians shouldn’t expect any different from a government that can’t manage money.
